There Was Another Trinity?!!!

The more I learn about the 'external evidence' outside of Biblical Scripture, the more I understand what the Biblical Scripture is saying. It is such a sad thing that the original authors, and readers, didn't foresee that generations would arise who didn't always comprehend what they were talking about, people mentioned, methods in which they told stories and parables, symbiology, connections to mythology, etc., etc., etc. There is SOOOOO much to that makes sense once we learn these details, and there are things which have multiple layers that we easily miss.

One example is that the original Tabernacle, though we clearly see so much God-given detail in how to build it, if we're not familiar with Egyptian paganism, we completely miss the reason for the finite detail: The Tabernacle was built following the Egyptian temple design: Easter Gate, Holy of Holies, etc. were all Egyptian worship methods. God used it to help the Israelites understand Who He is, and gave very specific details about the Tabernacle construction which would 'set it apart' from the pagan worship they had known before.

Another example is the miracles of Jesus in the NT. Even the Apostle John concludes his book saying that Jesus had performed many more miracles than he mentioned, and too many to fill any books. So, how did you decide which ones to share? He had specific points to make with each. (So did all the Synoptic Gospel authors.) The Gospel of John was written during his old age, a time in which Gnosticism had begun taking strongholds in the Church, and many people were confused at Jesus being fully human and fully God. Everything John emphasizes in his book is with the intention to help people understand how He was both.

-One miracle mentioned is Jesus turning water into wine. It wasn't recorded simply to reveal the 'first miracle.' *Honestly, the fact that Jesus' mother, Mary, had gone to Jesus expecting Him to create a miracle indicates to me she had already seen Him in action. (I could be wrong, but it seems that way.) But regardless of what Mary had/had not seen, this particular miracle revealed that Jesus had the power to turn water into wine. During that time, this power belonged to Dionysus, the Greek god of wine and celebration. But Dionysus celebration could also be described as 'orgies' and 'drunkenness'. Jesus performed this miracle at a wedding; a celebration of holy, monogamous, union and, though wine was consumed, there is no indication of drunkenness' and orgy. John is emphasizing, not only the authority of Christ, but also that wine and celebration are meant to be different than what worship for Dionysus indicated. (There are also other points, but that is a couple of them. It is easy to find research online if you want to learn more.)

Recently, I learned something about Babylonian pageantry that I did not know before, and I was amazed. It is the story of how Nimrod married his own mother, and how after he died, the methods she took to conceal her incestuous relationship with her own son. There are a lot of details not even covered in this video, but basically, she claimed that Nimrod was a god, and that one part of him was her son and the other part her husband: Nimrod 'god-the-father', and Tammuz 'god-the-son', and the mother, Duttur, was a divinity similar to 'god the-spirit.' (Sound familiar?) This became a known form of worship throughout MANY different culture groups, and not just the Babylonian's, even before the Jews were slaves in Egypt and still known to this day.

*I've been blown away by what I've learned so far. There is also a lot of emphasis on Tammuz, the son, being a 'shepherd' and other aspects that Jesus referred to Himself as being. There's one account that Duttur referred to herself as the 'ever-virgin', but I haven't found credited documents to support this yet. Only random info, but thought it was interesting.

***I encourage you to do more research on this to read for yourself. I've just recently learned about the Babylonian trinity belief and still in the midst of researching it. I'd be glad if you shared anything you find.

But isn't it interesting?

There is so much emphasis about The Holy Trinity of God, Jesus, and Holy Spirit: God-the-Father, God-the-Son, God-the-Holy Spirit. And Jesus was born of a virgin woman with no earthly father. It is as if the virgin birth was the specific sign chosen as a means to counter the Babylonian paganist beliefs. God is revealing the Truth of Who He is in contrary to what people had been seeing. I've also learned that El-Shekinah (Holy Spirit) is a feminine term -not masculine.

-There is so much to unpack about the Holy Trinity and these three different persons being the same God. But I'm just wanting to identify here how much effort the enemy has put forth to cause distortion of Who God is and who we are in Him, and how much MORE effort God has put forth to redeem and restore that which was distorted to help us understand Who He really is and who we are in Him.

There is more, much more, to be learned about all of this, and I encourage you to get started. I've given you a few places to begin in this blog. I'm deliberately not providing weblinks, sites, and videos because [honestly] a lot of them are created to prejudice against other religious groups, and that's not what I hope to do. Just start with basic history and encyclopedia research and go from there. Watch videos on YouTube with discernment.

And don't just accept what other's say (not even me). Make the effort to research and learn more about Who God really is, and in doing so, you will also learn more about who you are, and who you are in Him.

It is the glory of God to conceal things,
but the glory of kings is to search things out.
