What the Enemy Meant for Evil...

Yesterday, I was irresponsible and left my phone on the paper dispenser in a McDonald's restroom. When I realized it was missing someone had already taken it. Of course, it was locked, so that would slow down any potential hacking. And it happened with the best timing.

I was still at McDonald's using their WiFi with my laptop. So, I was able to immediately log into my account and deactivate my phone, disable everything on it because I had Google, and changed all my passwords and login info just to be safe. So, I slept very well last night without concern thanks to the graciousness of the Lord and His protection for His children when they are irresponsible. ;)

I got another phone at Best Buy today for $50, and I've already switched the account to my new phone. Thank the Lord today was payday. See? He always provides what we need and when we need it.

And I also got to minister to the young man helping me. He is married with two young daughters. He admitted his daughters are his weakness and that he wants to be a good father to them. I did not even ask his beliefs. I went ahead and recommended the movie 'Courageous' with an emphasis about how it was primarily about fathers, and the one who had a daughter near dating age. He seemed very interested in it. I hope he does check out the film, and then the Lord can finish where I left off. ...Until I follow up later.

So, sometimes the evil one tries to cause us trouble, but if we keep our eyes fixed on God, and our hearts calm and trust Him, He will carry us through every adversity. And more importantly, if we are alert to the Spirit's guidance we will see an opportunity to minister to someone. If I had not lost my phone, I would not have got to build a friendship and minister to the guy at Best Buy.

It is just like Joseph said to his brothers who had sold him into slavery,

"As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today." -Gen 50:20 (ESV)

A small, insignificant mishap that has actually reminded me that the Lord is going to take care of me through everything, and use every situation for His glory.
