Flying Back Home
Okay. I am at the Heathrow. Been an interesting past couple of days.
Coming Home:
Up until a couple of days ago, I didn't have a permanent place to live while I was back. Two days ago my uncle offered for me to stay with him.
Two days ago I realized I told my best friend the wrong day to pick me up, so she couldn't do it. Without knowing this, my uncle asked me if he could also pick me up. (God bless him!)

...So, now I have a ride again, and a place to live when I get back.
What I'm Doing after DTS:
Been checking out several different options on what to do with my 6-7 months gap time before SBS next Sept. Honestly had no clue or sure direction. Yesterday I was asked to help staff a school next April. I'm feeling like the Lord really wants me to do this. Still praying, but I think I already know my answer.
Getting to the Airport:
I wanted to get to the airport last night so I didn't have to worry about trains and busses so early in the morning, so I was gonna come last night and sleep in the airport.
Made a new friend two days ago. She was leaving same time I was, but had booked an airport hotel room. So, a few hours before I was about to leave, she invited me to travel with her and stay with her at the hotel. So, I had a temporary travel companion and slept in a bed instead of an airport chair.
Check-In:
The weight limit is 23kg. MAXIMUM is 32kg with an extra weight fee.
So.... Guess what my check in luggage was. 32kg. Right on the nose. One kilogram more and I would have been leaving something behind. Okay. No more souvenirs and gifts. Sorry people.
Scary thought: That wasn't even HALF my shoes in there.... How am I going to work THAT out international traveling??? I gotta figure this one out...
Customs:
Got my backpack delayed -again! I was thinking, "Good grief!!! What did I forget this time??? I was so careful!!!"
Answer: Nothing. He just swiped a little stick over it and handed it to me without even opening it. Don't know what that was all about, but at least I'm glad I didn't mess up again. I'm getting paranoid I'll put something in my carryon that's wrong.
At the Gate:
So, I get to the airport at the recommended three hours early in case of delays. Fortunately for me it was all... quick! So, now I get to sit down and wait for over 1 1/2 hrs to board. I'm sleepy.
***They have a Starbucks right next to my gate! One Grande Iced Caramel Latte, and 45 free min of WiFi at Heathrow. I think I can make it!
Seems like every little detail I've been stressing about for the past couple of weeks (and in recent few days) was all resolved within a 48hr time span. And any other little sudden 'panics' were resolved within minutes.
God must really love me.
